For over two decades Samantha MacRae Foerster has been an innovative and experienced leader in sales, marketing and client relationship development in the financial services industry. Her diverse skill sets have been at the core of her engagement with domestic and international firms, ranging from Bloomberg LP to Credit Suisse, Goldman Sachs and Cantor Fitzgerald.

Foerster began her career with Bloomberg LP in 1996 where she sold the Bloomberg Terminal in San Francisco, New York City and, as a territory manager, in the Caribbean and South Florida. During this period she created new accounts and expanded existing ones through extensive one-on-one client interactions with CEOs, portfolio managers and equity traders.

Recruited to Credit Suisse as a Vice-President, she was head of U.S. Marketing for the product development team and acted as internal firm liaison with other product groups.

For the next five years, Samantha worked in customer development for several organizations including SunGard (now part of FIS) and Fidessa, as Director of Tier 1 Accounts. During this period she significantly expanded the client base of each organization, working with asset managers, hedge funds, investor relations and private equity professionals.

From 2013-2016, she served as Head of Relationship Management, Business Development and Partnerships for Aqua Securities. Foerster worked directly with the CEO and head of sales in all aspects of business development, marketing and sales support for Aqua’s dark pool product.

In the past two years, Samantha worked with IHS Markit, a global information provider as Director of Sales and Head of Business Development. She aligned IHS Markit products and services to COOs, CFOs, CTOs, CIOs, traders and portfolio managers by balancing client needs, market dynamics and competitive assessments.

Samantha Foerster is a proven builder of new business efforts and new product development and is a sought-after thought leader in the financial services industry. Based mainly in New York, she has a deep, broad portfolio of experience and expertise as well as a cadre of long-standing relationships with senior buy-side and sell-side professionals.

Foerster enjoys tennis and golf, is passionate about contemporary art, has an active board chair leadership role in DIG SOUTH Tech Conference and is co-head of the Bloomberg Alumni Group.
